A love letter to motherhood, to our babies, and to the place we journey to before bringing them earthside.

Celestial Child was born from my own journey through motherhood and those almost otherworldly moments in labour, where it feels as though you go to the stars to collect your baby before finding your way back down to earth together.

Hand-designed and hand-stitched, this piece depicts a celestial baby held amongst stars, colour and light. It is a celebration of the beings our children are in their own right, the immense joy they bring into our world, and the story of mama woven around them.

Created slowly and intuitively from hand-dyed 100% wool felt and cotton thread, every stitch has passed through my hands and been made with love from my mama heart.

Due to the nature of hand stitching and hand-dyed felt, the beautiful irregularities in colour, shape and stitch are part of the work and its handmade story.
